| First-Attempt P-51 Jack Mangano (3300 E. Buried Oak Dr., Crete IL 60417; E-mail: Chevy_man_60@yahoo.com) wrote, “This is my newly finished 1/7-scale Top Flite Gold Edition P-51D Mustang. It is my first attempt at actually building an aircraft and my first warbird also.” The project took Jack approximately 300 hours to complete. It’s powered by an O.S. .61 FX engine and has an in-cowl muffler to preserve the scale looks of the nose. The model is fitted with Robart pneumatic retracts and a RAM onboard glow system. Very nice first effort, Jack! |
