About the Cover

On any given day, an aeromodeler begins with a plan. That plan is often little more than a dream, but it can be reality with skill, patience, and craftsmanship. The work surface in a modeler's shop is the "idea bench"; try not to use the word "workbench."
As has every construction project MA has published, Fred Randall's Golden Era 60 started with an idea—a vision. At the start of the project it was fueled with many inspirational elements; maybe it was the grunt of the .60 engine, the safety of the new digital spread spectrum radio systems, or the opportunity to have custom laser-cut parts made accurately to speed the building process. Maybe it was the coffee aroma.
This cover re-enacts the development of Fred's creation, and it is a tease of what's to come in the pages of AMA's premier magazine.
