Q-60: I’ve been reading month after month about the Web site portion of your FAQ column but have not been able to find it on the AMA’s overall Web site. Am I missing something? Can you steer me in the right direction?
A-60: Like all good things, it takes time to set up a process that
works both easily and properly. The webmasters at the AMA have spent some time
setting up my FAQ column on the AMA’s Web site so that the subject matter can be
easily searched and accessed. Try this exact Web address:
www.modelaircraft.org/mag/faq/index.asp.
I suggest you file this address in your “Favorites” listing. This way you can
quickly call it up without even thinking about it. When you do access this FAQ
section, you will notice that a group of categories appear along the left hand
side. The MA editors and staff had me go back over almost 60 FAQs
answered to-date and categorize each by specific areas such as batteries,
motors, building techniques, etc. When you click on one of these categories, any
Q/A relating to that category will appear in the main area of the Web page.
You may find only one Q/A or on popular subjects you might find several. The page layout includes any photos that were part of the original answer. Try it, I think you will like the format. In some cases more than one category will apply. Hopefully as time goes along you will get accustomed to our formatting techniques. We would very much appreciate receiving your thoughts, comments, and suggestions on this new Web site so that we can continue to improve the process.
