Even the author's 15-ounce GWS Zero (attended by his little helper Elf) is cause for concern. It is not as fast as his F4U-F, but, as with many warbirds, it can snap to the left. Don has had to recover it from resultant steep, high-speed dives with careful control inputs. All photos by the author.
