Q-58: While discussing the subject of dual rates in the July 2004 MA, you wrote, “With the switch in the OFF position ..." Which is the “OFF" position? My Futaba manual does not define an “OFF” position.
A-58: When I refer to dual-rate “OFF,” I mean the position where you are receiving full or normal control throw on a particular channel function. On many RC transmitters today, that position can be established by the modeler (like up for “ON” and down for “OFF”), but it is strictly your personal choice. When I refer to dual-rate “ON” that is when the control throw has been reduced by you to something less than full control throw. I can’t say it any other way!
