Q-22: I’m new at using iron-on covering and have been having a lot
of problems when it comes to separating the backing from the actual covering
material. Can you provide any tips that might make things easier for me?

Q-24: I
recently found a clear Mylar material that is sold by the roll and is very
inexpensive. I’ve included a sample piece so you can try it yourself. I’ve
weighed this material and it appears lighter than nearly all covering material
on the market. Because I don’t own a modeling iron, I’m unable to check how this
material "shrinks up." I hope you can evaluate it for me.

Q-55: I have noted that the rubber bands
used to hold the wing to my model's fuselage are beginning to cut into the wing
trailing edge material. Is there an easy way to reinforce this area so that the
rubber bands don’t eventually cut through the trailing edge?

Q-102: I am somewhat of a novice, but
have built six airplanes so far. Occasionally I have a small problem with the
covering lifting a little on the edges. I thought it would be a good idea to put
some sort of clear finish on these edges to prevent the covering from coming
loose. I have seen references to using a urethane-based product to do this. Is
urethane fuel proof? I tried a clear finish put out by one of the covering
companies and found that after two months the finish had still not dried. What
kind of advice can you give me?
