| Gift Pitts Fred Wheeler (551 Sandy Hook Rd., Treasure Island FL 33706; E-mail: fwheeler@sonjamortgage.com) received the kit for this Pitts Special biplane from a friend. The kit is a Pilot Kit from OK Model Co. for a Pitts S.2A 10. Fred powered his with an O.S. LA 15 engine, and was able to find a suitable size Pitts-style muffler for it. The model is covered with MonoKote and the cowl and wheel pants were finished with Lustre Kote paint. The Pitts weighs 2.8 pounds and uses an Airtronics radio with four micro servos for guidance. It is fitted with top and bottom wing ailerons and Fred installed a fuel port to make fueling easier. |
