First Large Airplane

Rick McMichael (Box 811, Hooker OK 73945; E-mail: plumber@ptsi.net) wanted to share this photo of a 109-inch-wingspan Spitfire that was built years ago by L.B. Linn of Borger, Texas. Rick reworked the Spitfire with new paint and installed a Brison 4.2 engine and Likes Line retracts.

That’s Rick’s son Matt posing with the huge model. Rick wrote, “This is my first large airplane, and I’m very happy with it!”
