| RAF S.E.5a Darren Gibson (6801 Burnell Dr., Eau Claire WI 54703; E-mail: darren8@juno.com) built this model of a Royal Air Force S.E.5a from a Hobby Hangar balsa-and-plywood kit. As best he could, Darren tried to build it to resemble the original D6884 model, built by Wolseley Motors of Birmingham. Darren wrote, “I used Nelson Hobby Specialties System Three water-based paint. The decals are from Major Decals.” A Futaba radio was used and a Saito FA-72 four-stroke engine powers the model. |
