Ultra Sport Jason R. Hess (617 E. 2700 S., Salt Lake City UT 84106) built this colorful Great Planes Ultra Sport 40 Plus. He wanted plenty of extra power with which to perform 3-D maneuvers, so he installed a Saito 72 four-stroke engine. The total weight of the model is 5-1/4 pounds, including retracts. Jason wrote, “It is a real treat to fly. Very stable at idle for landings, and a rocketship at full power.” Jason used MonoKote to cover this model, which uses a Futaba radio for guidance. |
