1930s Quaker

Jack Phillips (644 Trailwood Lane, Marietta GA 30064) sent in this photo of a 1930s Quaker that was built for him by his friend, Bill Prater. Bill built the model from John Pond plans that were based on an early Megow Free Flight model. He added a steerable tailwheel and moved the main gear forward. The model has a wingspan of 67 inches and is powered by an O.S. .40 Surpass engine. A Futaba radio-control system provides the guidance. Jack’s granddaughter Kristina Nunnally holds the model for the photo.
