| Extra 300S Cory Ozment (710 Scott Rd., Alexander City AL 35010; E-mail: coryozment@charter.net) built this .60 size Extra 300S from a Great Planes kit. It has a wingspan of 63 inches and weighs 9 pounds. It is powered by and O.S. .91 FX engine, spinning a 14 x 6 Top Flite propeller. The airplane is controlled via a Futaba 6XA radio and it has five servos on board. The model is covered with Yellow and Metallic Red MonoKote, and the cowl and wheel pants were painted with matching Top Flite LustreKote paint. Kirby’s Kustom Vinyl Graphics in Lebanon, Ohio, supplied the graphics. Cory wrote, “The O.S. .91 has plenty of power for this airplane. Snoopy, the pilot, decided to trade in the doghouse for a newer, faster model.” |
