| Kit-Bashed
Joss Stik Randall Huston (Box 33, Skidmore MO 64487; E-mail: randall1959@yahoo.com) kit bashed an old Joss Stick by cutting four inches off the nose and installing a Maloney 1.25 gas engine. He also removed the dihedral from the wing, made a cowling from an old canister and installed it, and fashioned a machine gun from scrap wood. Randall added Charles the pilot (a Hobby Lobby product) and a few decals and some trim so that the finished product would resemble a Fokker Eindecker. The Maloney 1.25 powers an APC 14 x 6 propeller and pulls the model well. Randall wrote, “It flies straight and stable and will do most aerobatic maneuvers. It behaves well upon landing.” |
