Michael Vollmer (720 Forest Dr., Mayville WI 53050) assembled this 1/4-scale Aeronca Champ from a Hobby Lobby Precedent kit. It has a wingspan of 105 inches and is powered by an O.S. .91 four-stroke engine. The aircraft weighs 13 pounds.

Michael wrote, “The Aeronca took three winters to build as it was my first 1/4-scale project. After several flights and trim adjustments it flies great!”

Documentation for Michael’s model came from the full-scale Aeronca Champ owned and flown by Richard Charette of Wadsworth, Illinois.
