Stuka!

Chris Spees (118 Hickory Dr., Simpsonville SC 29681; E-mail: c.spees@att.net) built this 1/9-scale Ju 87D Stuka dive bomber from plans purchased from Radio Control Modeler. It has a wingspan of 63 inches and weighs 7-1/4 pounds.

Chris fabricated the wheel pants using fiberglass and epoxy, and he vacuum-formed the clear canopy. A Thunder Tiger Pro .61 engine provides power, and the airplane uses a Futaba 8UAP radio for guidance. The model is finished with MonoKote covering and LustreKote paint.

Chris reports that, “It flies like a low-wing trainer.”
