| Sea Fury
Slope Soarer John Osborne (9119 Hill Rd., Knoxville TN 37938-1910; E-mail: Skogga@aol.com) built this Sport Scale Sea Fury slope glider from a Dave’s Aircraft Works FoamWulf 190D EPP foam kit. He modified the model by reshaping the turtledeck from midcanopy back, flattening the cannon hump, adding polyhedral to the wing, reshaping the TE and adding a new Coroplast tail with a 1/8-inch-diameter carbon fiber stiffener rod. John used a Tower Hobbies System 3000 seven-channel receiver and three Futaba S148 servos. The transmitter is a Hitec Prism 7X computer unit. The model has a wingspan of 48 inches and weighs 31 ounces. It is covered with gray Oracover Lite and TowerKote dark blue, with TowerKote markings. |
