About the Cover

Manabu Hashimoto’s F3C machine is captured in a fairly tame attitude at the 2009 FAI RC helicopter World Championship, held August 2-11 at the International Aeromodeling Center in Muncie, Indiana. But during the IRCHA Jamboree on-site the following week, Manabu showed his stuff by 3-Ding this FAI helicopter during a demo. The crowd was surprised to see him go low inverted with this contest machine. Manabu placed fourth at the World Championship.
During the Jamboree, Curtis Youngblood Enterprises and MRC sponsored a precision aerobatics seminar for helicopter pilots that concluded with a brief contest. Joe Coppola organized the competition to generate more interest. He has a Web site for this type of flying at www.rcprecisionheli.com; check it out!
