Sikorsky S-42 “My airplane is the Sikorsky S-42. It was an American airplane used by Pan American Airways. It was built in 1934. The Sikorsky was designed by Igor Sikorsky. Only 10 were built, and none remain. This airplane was based off of the earlier Sikorsky S-40. I choose this airplane to draw because it is a seaplane, and seaplanes interest me. I would like to ride in a seaplane.”
