For monetary donations, or an in-kind donation for supplies or equipment: Contact Museum Director Michael Smith at , or at 765-287-1256, ext. 500.
Model aircraft
1. Read the information provided and fill out the form
here
, and then use the provided link in the document to email it to the Museum Collections Manager Maria VanVreede. Please use one form per model submitted. It is suggested that you save a copy of the document for your records.
2. If you would like a Word version of the form, or a paper copy, please contact Maria VanVreede by email at , or by calling (765)-287-1256, ext. 508.
3. In a separate email to send current, color photograph(s) of the model(s) submitted for review. Other photographs and relevant documents can also be attached to this email.
4. If desired, the form can be printed and sent with photographs using regular mail to the museum.
5. The model will be reviewed at the next Museum Acquisition Committee meeting. The Committee meets quartely, and the dates for 2012 will be listed once known.

7. Notification of acceptance will include information regarding shipping/delivery of the model. In most cases, the donor is expected to pay for these costs.
Radio equipment, engines, kits, building and flying equipment, or memorabilia
1. Put together a list of the items you want to donate including as much information as possible. Include information like what it is, the manufacturer, dates made/used, a brief description, and its current condition.
2. Photographs are helpful and appreciated, but are not needed with a detailed list.
3. Send the list and any photographs to Museum Collections Manager Maria VanVreede by email, , by phone, (765)-287-1256, ext. 508, or mail:

4. Maria will compare the list to what is already in the museum’s collection, and evaluate what items are needed.
5. You might be asked to provide further information, or photographs.
6. Maria often talks to other staff members and volunteers about the possible donation. Depending on whom she needs to talk to, and the amount of items on the list, it could take up to two weeks for an answer.
7. Plans to ship/deliver the donation will be made after the items have been accepted. In most cases, the donor is expected to pay for these costs.
Papers (ex. programs, correspondence, posters) or audio/visual materials (ex. photographs, film, DVDs) relating to aeromodeling

Please Note: The Lee Renaud Memorial Library has been collecting magazines for over twenty years and has a large collection already. For many magazine titles there are only a few issues needed, especially in regards to the major titles of

Air Trails

Model Airplane News
. We cannot accept complete collections and will only ask for the single issues needed.
Books

A general mix of items and materials
1. Create a list of what you have, including as much information as possible.
2. For each model aircraft you are intending to donate, please follow the steps listed for model aircraft.
3. Contact either Maria VanVreede OR Jackie Shalberg to discuss the list. They will work with you concerning the materials they oversee, and based on how many items you have, will either transfer you to the other staff person, or will contact them for you.
