Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 6:00 pm
Saturday and Sunday 11:00 am to 5:00 pm

At other times:
Monday through Friday: 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
Saturday and Sunday: 10 a.m.-4 p.m.

From Ohio on I-70 West (Columbus or Dayton):

Take the Route 35 North exit (#149B). Follow Route 35 for 33 miles to Route 67. Turn right on 67 (67 N). Follow 67 to the Memorial Drive exit. Turn left (east) off of exit ramp onto Memorial Drive. Travel about a half mile, the AMA and National Model Aviation Museum will be on the right side of the road.

From O'Hare Airport and Chicago:

O'Hare Airport: Take I-90 out of airport to I-294 South. Follow I-294 to I-80/94 East into Indiana. Take I-65 South. Follow Chicago/I-65 directions:
Chicago and I-65 South: From I-65 take Route 28 East exit. Travel 28 East to I-69 South. From I-69 take Route 332 East exit (#41), turn left off exit ramp. Route 332 becomes McGalliard and runs through Muncie's business and mall area. Follow McGalliard to Route 67 South. Turn right (south) onto 67. Take the Memorial Drive exit and turn left off the exit ramp onto Memorial Drive. Travel about a half mile, the AMA and National Model Aviation Museum will be on the right side of the road.

From Indianapolis Airport:

Take the I-465 Bypass East around to the I-69 North exit. Follow I-69 North to the Route 67 exit (#34). Travel 14 miles to the Memorial Drive exit. Turn left (east) off of exit ramp onto Memorial Drive. Travel about a half mile, the AMA and National Model Aviation Museum will be on the right side of the road.

From Fort Wayne:

Take I-69 South to the Route 332 exit (#41). Turn left off of exit ramp onto 332. Route 332 becomes McGalliard and runs through Muncie's business and mall area. Follow McGalliard to Route 67 South. Turn right (south) onto 67. Take the Memorial Drive exit and turn left off the exit ramp onto Memorial Drive. Travel about a half mile, the AMA and National Model Aviation Museum will be on the right side of the road.

From Toledo:

Take I-75 South to the Route 67 West exit. Take the Route 67 Bypass South around to the Memorial Drive exit. Take a left off the exit ramp onto Memorial Drive. Travel about a half mile, the AMA and National Model Aviation Museum will be on the right side of the road.

From I-74 (Danville and Champaign) or I-70 (Terre Haute and St. Louis):

Take the I-465 Bypass North around Indianapolis to I69. Travel on I-69 North to the Route 67 North exit (#34). Travel 14 miles to the Memorial Drive exit. Turn left (east) off of exit ramp onto Memorial Drive. Travel about a half mile, the AMA and National Model Aviation Museum will be on the right side of the road.

From I-74 and Cincinnati:

Take Route 3 North to Muncie. Take the Routes 3/67/35 Bypass North. Take Memorial Drive exit and turn left off the exit ramp onto Memorial Drive. Travel about a half mile, the AMA and National Model Aviation Museum will be on the right side of the road.

From Louisville, Nashville, Birmingham on I-65:

Take I-465 Bypass (East or North, does not matter) around to the I-69 North exit. Follow I-69 North to Route 67 exit (#34). Travel 14 miles to Memorial Drive exit. Turn left (east) off of exit ramp onto Memorial Drive. Travel about a half mile, the AMA and National Model Aviation Museum will be on the right side of the road.

From South Bend on Route 31:

From Route 31 take Route 28 East to I-69 South. On I-69 South take the Route 332 exit (#41). Turn left off of exit ramp onto 332. Route 332 becomes McGalliard and runs through Muncie's business and mall area. Follow McGalliard to Route 67 South. Turn right (south) onto 67. Take the Memorial Drive exit and turn left off the exit ramp onto Memorial Drive. Travel about a half mile, the AMA and National Model Aviation Museum will be on the right side of the road.

From Akron:

Take I-71 to Columbus and process on I-70 as from Columbus directions (above).

From Atlanta:

Take I-75 North to Cincinnati. Travel I-275 around Cincinnati to I-74. Take I-74 West to Route 3. Follow Route 3 North to the Routes 3/67/35 Bypass North. Take Memorial Drive exit. Turn left (east) off of exit ramp onto Memorial Drive. Travel about a half mile, the AMA and National Model Aviation Museum will be on the right side of the road.

Guided tours of the museum are available Monday through Friday.

Local Restaurants

The closest restaurant, 12th Street Cafe, is just down Memorial (Memorial Drive is also known locally as 12th Street).

Other restaurants can be found on McGalliard (easy to get to by taking the Muncie Bypass), and off of Memorial Drive on Madison Street. The choices are diverse, including several fast food chains and local establishments.
