Screen Printing
The Academy of Model Aeronautics offers high quality screen printing services through our Custom Products Department. The Screen Printing Area features two state of the art, multi-head screen presses (manual & automatic) as well as an in-line, high temperature garment dryer.
We also utilize two different heat presses for applying transfers to both clothing and hats. A full-time professional screen printer is on staff and is experienced to offer advice on your screen printing needs. Of special interest are the many and varied inks used in the screen printing process. Regular shrink and fade resistant inks, as well as suedes; shimmers; fluorescent, and black light are also offered.

Art Development
Art Development for Screen Printing, Engraving, or Vinyl Application.
* Effective January 1, 2008: There is a one-time "Flat Fee" for art development that will be added to all custom orders. This fee is to cover the costs incurred in the recreation of a customer's art for the various production processes. This is defined as recreating a logo or other illustration to be used in Screen Printing, Award Engraving, Vinyl Banners & Signs, or Graphic Design for printed material, or any other promotional use by either outside customers or internally by another AMA department.
Example: Customer supplied art that comes "ready-to-use" in a vectorized electronic format (or, as in drawing paths) with no or minimal rework involved will not be charged an art fee. Customer supplied art that comes as Raster or Bitmap (or, as uneditable electronic pixel images) will have to be reworked into a vector image, and will be charged accordingly. This will also include any art not in an electronic format (or otherwise hand-drawn images), and also pertains to any "new" or "existing" art where manipulation is involved.
