The Arvada Associated Modelers (AAM) #399 is a Gold Leader club (19 years) located in Golden, Colorado. It was established in 1975 and has over 300 dedicated members. AAM and its members have been a part of Arvada and the surrounding communities with a superior record of safety, operations, charity and community service.
Their airpark is a world class aerodrome. It resides on 60 acres of Arvada City parkland in the beautiful foothills of the Rocky Mountains. There are three separate flying sites - (2) main runways and a control-line circle. They also have a dirt RC car track, solar powered charging stations, large parking areas, heli-pads, concrete pit area, lots of work benches, picnic tables, and more.
Several of their community engagements include: Arvada Harvest Festival, Harvest Festival Air Show, new member pilot training, AMA "Adopt a School Program", "Aero-modeling at the Hangar" (hosted by Wings Over the Rockies Air & Space Museum), model rocket and flying demonstrations, and Junior Civil Air Patrol events.
Every year they host a "Frozen Finger Fun Fly" on January 1st to celebrate the New Year. In May of 2024, they are planning to hose "Jets Over the Rockies". We highly encourage you to view their great website (link below) to learn more about this incredible AMA chartered club.
