The Tucson Radio Control Club (TRCC) #221 has been in the Tucson, Arizona area since the early 1970's and is the 12th AMA club to be chartered. The club boasts over 100 members, including over 25 youth members.
Their asphalt runway is 600' wide with a large, scenic flying area to the north. Facilities include covered pits, multiple pilot stations, startup tables, electricity, a huge parking area, and more. Visit their website link below to learn more about the club.
TRCC hosts multiple events throughout the year. In 2022, they raised over $1000 towards a local high school engineering program from their Second Annual SAD 3D Festival. They have an active IMAC group and are hosting the 2024 Tucson IMAC & EDF Class at the end of March.
The club loves getting youth involved in the hobby. They held an event for Trail Life Scouts providing demo flights and an introduction to model aviation flying trainer aircraft.
