The Denver R.C. Eagles #1293 was founded in 1960. Since its inception, the club has grown from a small group of RC enthusiasts to a group of around 130 members. The Eagles flying site, Suhaka Field, is located at Cherry Creek State park approximately 9 miles southeast of downtown Denver.
There are two paved runways (400'x275'), paved taxiways, solar power, and a pit area. There is also a separate flying field dedicated to rotorcraft. Club members fly a variety of aircraft including scale war birds, aerobatic aircraft, helicopters, ducted fan jets, electric aircraft, quad copters, and turbine powered aircraft.
The club's two main events are an airshow in May and "Warbirds Over Cherry Creek" in September.
