FPV for Beginners - First Person View Flying
You're invited to learn the 8 basic steps of how to get started in one of the newest forms of model flying, First Person View (FPV).
Tuesday, March 25 at 8 pm EDT/5 pm PDT.
Presented by the Academy of Model Aeronautics, the one hour webinar will feature FPV experts Brian Zvaigzne and Patrick Sherman, known to fans of the Roswell Flight Test Crew as "Techinstein" and "Lucidity." They have made it their mission, as hobbyists, to demonstrate beneficial applications of Small Unmanned Aircraft Systems (sUAS).
Brian and Patrick will present the fundamentals of FPV flying and expand on their recent article in the April 2014 issue of Model Aviation, "FPV for Beginners". They'll discuss many of the tips and techniques involved in FPV flight and the all-important safety aspects of FPV operations. The quirky but zany Roswell Flight Test Crew will answer your questions and talk about some of their own experiences utilizing this technology.
They have conducted FPV demonstration flights for firefighters and other first responders, as well as research scientists, using home-made First-Person View (FPV) systems to gather imagery that would be cost-prohibitive -- or even impossible -- to obtain by any other means.
